Birds
were one of Voysey's favorite design motifs, and in this charming carpet
an alert bluebird peers out from among the flowers, berries, and leaves
of the composition. Note the similarity in the border design between
Orchard and Lily & Vine, which Voysey also used in his own home. These
two designs make wonderful companion carpets. |
